Great leaders don't set out to be a leader....they set out to make a difference. It's never about the role-always about the goal.

Executive Director

Christy Baker is the Executive Director of RSVP of Enid.  Christy has been
with the agency since 2008.  Under her leadership, RSVP has expanded its programming and finances to create a holistic approach to aging for seniors.

Through the work of RSVP, Christy and her staff grew the organization into an effective reliable resource for senior citizens, providing them with a holistic approach to aging.  In 2014, the organization addressed senior related social issues by reopening the RSVP Senior Center.  RSVP was selected as the ONE award winner for 2016.  This is the highest honor a nonprofit can receive through the Oklahoma Center of Nonprofits, and hold this award with great honor.  Also in 2016, an RSVP volunteer was selected as a DHS State volunteer winner.  RSVP received the 2016 Karen D. Jacobs award, for exemplifying the character of selfless volunteerism of community work.  In 2019, RSVP received the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce Civic Improvement Award.

Prior to this role, Christy served as Assistant Director under the direction of Bennie Mullins for five years.  As a volunteer, she served on the board for the March of Dimes for 6 years.  She served on the Nominating Committees for the YWCA Enid for 3 years. She serves as a member on the Elder Abuse Task Force since it formed in 2018.  She also co-founded a nonprofit to help individuals with special needs and Veterans, with her husband, Chip Baker; Bennie’s Barn Horse Therapy Ranch.  Christy is also an active member of her PEO Chapter DB.  In 2010 Christy was selected to join Leadership Greater Enid class XIX, and in 2014 was chosen for the prestigious Enid Young Professionals 10 under 40 award. Christy is also active in her church serving as a Deacon at Central Christian.  Christy was chosen as a 2017 Honorary Commander at Vance Air Force Base under the Medical Squadron.  But Most importantly, Christy is a mother to a very vibrant 7 year old, Cash Baker and an adorable 20 month old, Riggs Baker.

Remembering Bennie...

Bennie served 27 years as Executive Director
of RSVP from 1985 - 2012.  She was guided by her heart in everything she did, Bennie made everyone feel special, important.  She had a fun-loving personality.  She was amazingly generous, a gracious hostess, a joke teller,
a story teller, and she had a kind heart for all human beings and animals.  She was an inspiration to all and will be greatly missed.

"I stand for honesty, equality, kindness, compassion, treating people the way you want to be treated and helping those in
need to me those are traditional values"

- Bennie Mullins
